Nigerian singer Wizkid has unveiled the music video for his popular song “Kese (Dance),” from his “Morayo” album.
Released Wednesday night, the three-minute video is a vibrant celebration of dance, music, and life.
“Kese (Dance)” is an irresistible blend of Afrobeats rhythms, highlighting Wizkid’s signature style.
The lyrics, which combine Pidgin and English, have a universal appeal that resonates to listeners all around the world.
The popular chorus, “Kese, kese, kese. “Gbese, gbese, baby, lẹsẹkẹsẹ” is a joyful celebration of accomplishment and hard labour.
Wizkid and a group of choreographers are featured in the new self-directed music video, consisting of energetic performances on stage, at a clubhouse, and in an art gallery.
Fans will appreciate the vivid visuals, which wonderfully represent the song’s irresistible enthusiasm.
‘Morayo’ is a sincere homage to Wizkid’s late mother, Jane Dolapo Balogun, who died in August 2023.
Wizkid, born Ayodeji Balogun, rose to fame in 2011 with the release of his debut album, Superstar.
Ayo (2014), “Sound From The Other Side” (2017), “Made In Lagos” (2020), and “More Love, Less Ego” (2022) are his other four albums.
In addition, the singer has won other accolades, including a Grammy Award in 2021 for his work on the popular song “Brown Skin Girl” with Beyoncé.
