Recently, Chelsea just signed Wesley Fofana from Leicester City, for a fee of €76m. In a bid to replace Fofana, Leicester City has reached a consensus with Reims for Wout Faes, for a five-year contract.
The 24 years old, Belgian international player, joined Reims in 2022 and has five goals to his name in 75 appearances for the club, and he was crowned the club’s best player at the end of last season.
Speaking on the transfer, Wout has said that, it’s quite a wonderful feeling, as this is a dream come true for him and he’s very excited to play for Leicester City. He further promised that he’ll put all the resources and knowledge at his disposal to do better. He knows he has to work hard but he’s prepared to give his best to the team.
Speaking to LCFC TV, Faes said: “It’s an amazing feeling; it’s not sunk in yet. This is the dream step in my career, and I’m very happy to be here.
“I’m progressing year after year, and I hope to continue doing the same here. All the facilities and knowledge are here to help me to get even better.
“I will have to work hard, but I will give 100 percent to help the team.
