Yoruba Nollywood Star, Sisi Quadri, Passes Away at 44

Beloved Yoruba Nollywood actor, Tolani Quadri Oyebamiji, famously known as Sisi Quadri, has tragically passed away, leaving fans in shock. The news of his demise comes as a sudden blow, especially considering his recent appearance in a newly released series.

Oyebamiji, who celebrated his 44th birthday on December 25, 2023, was a cherished figure in the Yoruba movie industry. Colleagues and fans mourned his loss after it was confirmed by some of his fellow actors.

Nollywood actress, Abiola Bayo, expressed her sorrow on her verified Instagram account, bidding farewell to the talented actor and wishing for his soul to rest in peace.

Tunde Yusuf, another actor, shared a poignant message alongside a photo of Sisi Quadri, acknowledging the divine will behind life and death, while sending blessings and prayers for his departed colleague.

Regina Chukwu, in her tribute, revealed a lesser-known aspect of Oyebamiji’s life, recounting how he mentored her as a makeup artist on set for years. His impact extended beyond his on-screen presence, touching the lives of those he worked with.

Sisi Quadri gained fame for his memorable role in the movie “Seniyan Seranko,” released on December 4, 2004. He was also eagerly anticipated in the upcoming film “Anikulapo: The Return of Spectre,” which was set to hit cinemas soon but was coincidentally released on Netflix today.

As fans and colleagues mourn the loss of this talented actor, his legacy continues to live on through his memorable performances and the lives he touched.
