Godwin Emefiele, Governor of the central bank who left the country last year for his annual leave, resumed back his duties on January 16th. If we can recall, there were several controversies surrounding him as several allegations were made against him, some even requested that he be removed from his position as CBN Governor.
Emefiele paid his first visit to President Buhari on Thursday in the state house, the president welcomed him that he is well received.
“You are welcome back. I am grateful that you are well received,” Buhari told Emefiele during a meeting at the State House on Thursday.
Later in the evening, Emefiele returned to see the President in a closed-door Meeting, the issues are undisclosed.
