Mallam Isa Gusau, the spokesman for the Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, has reportedly passed on.
Gusau, who had also been the spokesman for the present Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, when he was the governor of Borno State, and has been on admission at an Indian hospital for more than a month now.
Gusua took the final bow on Thursday in a specialist hospital in New Delhi after an extended illness, according to a source who would like to be kept anonymous.
The source had said:
“We have lost Isa to the cold hands of death; he had been unconscious for about three days.
We had all been praying for his recovery, but it is very unfortunate that we lost him this evening in the hospital in New Delhi, India.”
Gusau had been actively involved in the publicity for the governor right from his sick bed in India, releasing statements to publicise his boss.
As at the time of filing this report, There has yet to be an official confirmation of his death.
