Adeleke Abiodun, a 40 years old man residing in Barnawa in Kaduna state has stood on trial on Tuesday, May 30 for criminal breach of trust and cheating in a Kaduna Magistrate court, for duping someone of 2.5m.
According to the prosecutor, Inspector Chidi Leo, the victim, Hannah Kehinde reported the case to the police station on May 18. According to her, she gave the accused the sum of 2.5m to procure a visa for her, but the accused reneged on the deal.
Meanwhile, the accused has denied the charges by pleading not guilty, after which he was granted N800,000 bail, with two sureties in like form, within the Jurisdiction of the court. The case has been adjourned to 27th of June.
