Walking has proven to be an effective exercise but is often underrated because it is a low-cost exercise and it also seems easy. But surprisingly, it gives lots of benefits to the body. The faster, farther, and more consistent you walk, the greater the benefit.

Walking helps to improve the muscle endurance, strengthen the immune system of the body, enhance mood, recognition, and memory, and it also helps to prevent health conditions like stroke, heart diseases, high blood pressure, and others

To achieve a healthy lifestyle, it is recommended that you take nothing less than 10,000 steps in a day, this is equivalent to 8 kilometers or 5 miles. You can track your walking activity using a pedometer app on your phone if your cellphone will always be with you.

Pushups are also proven to be one of the effective exercises that can be done that home. Pushups are also an effective exercise for effective body weight because of the number of muscles needed to perform them.

Squats

Another exercise that can be done at home without hitting the gym is squats. Squats can be done at home as a regular exercise routine, it also comes with several benefits such as burning calories, and also loss of weight.

Another benefit of squats is that it helps to reduce the chances of knees and ankle injuries. The number of squats you do per day depends solely on your individual goal. If you’re a newbie in the act, you can start with doing 15-20 squats in a day and gradually increase it with time to about 100 squats.

Boxing at Home

Boxing is also an exercise you can do to make the mind and body healthy. And the interesting part is that you do not need to visit the gym to get this done. You can get yourself a punching bag and place it in the comfort of your home or opt for throwing punches in the air.

Boxing can help burn up to 600 calories at a go if done effectively. It helps to improve heart health, aids in weight loss, and also helps to boost the immune system of the body. Aside from all these benefits, it is also an exercise that gives fun and helps to relieve stress.

Yoga

Yoga is also one of the most effective exercises that can be done at home. Another interesting fact about yoga is that it can be practiced at any age. This means both kids and adults can practice yoga.

Yoga also comes with several body benefits, it helps to build a good digestive system and circulatory system among other health benefits it gives. You can have a good yoga exercise by using a thick sheet instead of buying expensive yoga mats.
