Giving the dependable Czech Jiri Lehecka a solid 6-3, 6-4, 7-6, the famous Novak Djokovic secured his spot in the quarter-finals of the Australian Open. Not only that, he elevates his title count to 25 needed to become the Grand Slam Champion, further strengthening his decade lasting record. Lehecka, hailing from Czech Republic almost managed to turn the tide in the third set but sadly lost all due skills and experience. With this triumph, Djokovic proved his decade old title as a champion for the Melbourne Great again. Tournament statistics confirmed that he now is at par with Roger Federer in the number of time being able to reach the quarter finals, both attaining this flag target 15 times.

A top notch performance after blindly avenging the errors produced by Lehecka helped in breaking the 24th seed’s serve, but this efficient work elevated his statistics of Grand Slam quarter finals win to record breaking 61. The Czech had previously won the Brisbane international which solidly gave him a brief confidence boost.

With Djokovic and Alcaraz on the edge, the third seed looked comfortable vetted through Draper who had no choice other than to retire during their fourth round match.

“It’s insane,” exclaimed Alcaraz as a four time slam champion. “He younger then is generations and that fuels our rivalry even more.” Alcaraz now holds the ace by being confident despite Djokovic having a record of winning 4 times against him. “I’m prepared for the challenge,” Said Alcaraz.

Australia Open has a reputation of challenged being witnessed rarely, this match can easily claim a heavy wager.
