According to reports, Bukayo Saka has penned a new five-year contract with Arsenal, keeping him at the club till the summer of 2031 and putting an end to all rumors of a possible move away from the North London Club.

The 24-year-old had been in the last 18 months of his current deal that was set to expire next January, but Arsenal were always sure to get an extension. The new contract reportedly includes a substantial pay rise that stamps the status of Saka as one of the most expensive wingers in the Premier League, thus making him out of the reach of the top clubs in Europe.

Mikel Arteta, the manager, has, in earlier statements, shown his confidence in Saka’s dedication by bringing to light the very strong bond that exists between the player, his agents, and the club. So that trust that has been built up over time has now resulted in a long-term contract for the player who has come through the Hale End academy and joined Arsenal when he was only seven years old to become a vital part of the first team.

Saka’s contract extension is part of Arsenal’s larger plan to hold onto their main players, which is also the case for fellow academy graduates Myles Lewis-Skelly and Ethan Nwaneri, who have also agreed on new deals along with defensive stalwarts William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhães.

Arsenal is still optimistic about Saka, even though the latter’s recent performances in achieving goals have not been quite up to the mark. The club considers Saka to be one of the pillars of their future success as they are still in the process of assembling a team that will be able to compete for the top honors.
