‘Sinners’ Dominates – The Unexpected Winners of the 2026 Actors Award Unveiled

Ryan Coogler’s supernatural thriller Sinners dominated the 32nd Annual Actors Award on Sunday at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles. The film, set in 1932 Mississippi during the Jim Crow era, follows twin brothers — both played by Michael B. Jordan — who return to their hometown and confront a sinister supernatural force.

Jordan’s performance earned him Best Actor in a Leading Role, while the cast, including British-Nigerian actress Wunmi Mosaku, won Best Ensemble – Cast. Mosaku also received an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the film.

The annual ceremony, formerly the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards, is widely regarded as an important predictor of the Oscars, with winners voted for by fellow actors.

Other highlights from the night included Jessie Buckley winning Best Actress for Hamnet, Sean Penn taking Best Supporting Actor for One Battle After Another, and Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning winning Best Stunt Ensemble – Film.

On the television side, The Pitt was recognized as Best Drama Series Ensemble, while The Studio took Best Comedy Series Ensemble, with individual awards for Seth Rogen and Catherine O’Hara.
