Arsenal have added to their squad before the new season with the signing of Greek winger Christos Tzolis for 34million from Club Brugge.
The 24-year-old has been signed after a brilliant season in Belgium, which saw the winger score 22 goals and set up 29. He is expected to be a massive fan’s favorite with the flair, finishing and speed that he has and will pick up the Famous number 17 jersey that has previously been worn by Emmanuel Petit, Nacho Monreal and Alexis Sanchez.
When asked about his initial plan at the North London club, Tzolis said this: “I know everything about Arsenal, I have seen a million of their matches, they are the hardest team I have played,” said Tzolis. “I am here with the ambition to compete for trophies, make the best of my opportunities and to settle into the squad as fast as possible.
The winger from Greece is the 3rd signing that Arsenal have made this summer window after the capture of central defender Piero Hincapie and the addition of stopper Illan Meslier.
