Taylor Swift’s connection to Beverly Hills real estate is back in the spotlight, with the sprawling estate she once called home now on the market for $7,995,000.
Swift purchased the historic Pillsbury Estate in 2011 and went on to write her acclaimed pop album 1989 at the property. The 1.5-acre mini-compound has now been listed by its current owners, fashion designer Nicolas Bijan and interior designer Roxy Bijan.
The Property
Built for the Pillsbury family in 1941, the Beverly Hills estate features a four-bedroom, five-bathroom layout spread across a three-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom main residence and a one-bedroom, one-bathroom guest house. The property also boasts a motor court with room for eight cars, more than a dozen mature live oak trees, and a pickleball court.

The Bijans purchased the estate from Swift in an off-market transaction in 2018. Since then, they have undertaken significant renovations throughout the home, giving the historic property a more contemporary look while retaining elements of its original character. Their stylish transformation even caught the attention of Architectural Digest, which featured the residence in 2021
The Swift Connection
Swifties may also recognize the property from Swift’s famous Vogue “73 Questions” video interview.
For Nicolas Bijan, the home’s creative history was one of its most appealing qualities. He recalled discovering a beautiful piano in the home office when he and Roxy moved in. “When we moved in, there was a beautiful piano in the home office. I couldn’t help but be inspired by what had happened in that room,” Bijan told Page Six Hollywood.
He revealed that he subsequently launched his fashion brand, NB44, from the same space. “You can tell beautiful things have happened here. I hope the next person that lives there will feel creatively inspired,” he added.
The Personal History
The property has also played an important role in the Bijans’ personal lives. The couple married at the estate in 2020 after their planned Lake Como wedding was canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic. They have since started a family and welcomed two children.
Despite the extensive renovations and the couple’s personal design touches, a small piece of Swift’s history at the property remains in the garden. An olive tree planted by Swift’s former boyfriend, DJ Calvin Harris, still stands on the estate. Today, it is surrounded by Roxy Bijan’s hot-pink roses, preserving one of the few visible reminders of the property’s time as Swift’s Beverly Hills home.
The Bottom Line
Taylor Swift’s former Beverly Hills estate, where she wrote 1989, is on the market for $7.995 million. The Pillsbury Estate was purchased by Swift in 2011 and sold to fashion designer Nicolas Bijan and interior designer Roxy Bijan in 2018. The 1.5-acre property includes four bedrooms, five bathrooms, a guest house, a pickleball court, and an olive tree planted by Calvin Harris. The Bijans renovated the home and were featured in Architectural Digest in 2021.
My Opinion
Taylor Swift bought this house in 2011. She wrote 1989 in it. She sold it in 2018. And now, eight years later, it is back on the market for $7.995 million with a pickleball court and hot-pink roses where her life used to be.
There is something quietly sad about that. Not because the house is for sale. Houses change hands. That is what they do. But because the thing that made it valuable — the piano, the room where 1989 was written, the olive tree Calvin Harris planted — is now a selling point in a listing. “You can tell beautiful things have happened here,” Nicolas Bijan says. He is right. But he is also selling the memory of them.
