Paul pogba, the ex-Manchester United striker, might be ruled out of this year’s world cup slated to start from November due to an injury he sustained in his knee whilst training in Los Angeles. Pogba has already booked an appointment with a specialist to know the type of treatment they will adopt.

He is said to have suffered a test of the lateral meniscus in his right knee, while training on the field, he had to limp off the field. Pogba will not go with his teammates on their pre-season tour as he is to undergo surgery on his knee in the United States, this is rather said as he only joined Juventus two weeks ago. He has flown to Italy to see a specialist.

There are two approaches to the treatment of his knee, the first is that they will have to suture the lesion, and that might see him miss the world cup as he will have to take four to five months off the field. The second is that a piece of the meniscus might have to be removed, this is only favorable to younger players, and their mobility might also be affected.

Juventus has released a statement following this issue

“Following complaining of pain in his right knee, Paul Pogba underwent radiological examinations that revealed a lesion of the lateral meniscus.”

“In the next few hours, he will undergo a specialist orthopedic consultation.

“Therefore, to continue treatment, he is not taking part in the trip to Dallas.”
