The U.S. announced that Nigerians’ tourist visas will now be valid for longer

A new visa policy for Nigerians has been revealed by the United States (U.S.A.).

The United States announced in a statement yesterday that applicants for Nigerian tourist visas now qualify for a five-year (60-month) visa, as opposed to the two-year (24-month) visa they were previously qualified for.

According to the announcement, the new system will start on March 1st, 2023.

The American administration responded to Nigeria’s recent decision to reciprocate visa requirements.

The U.S. Embassy said in a statement that Starting March 1, 2023, the U.S. Mission will increase visitor visa validity for Nigerians who want to briefly enter the United States for business or tourism from 24 months to 60 months.
