The winner of the 2023 February 25th Presidential Elections may have been announced but the battle is far right being over. The court of Appeal on Wednesday granted president-elect Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu permission to inspect the electoral materials used by the Independent National Electoral Commission for the February 25th Elections, this is based on the request by Bola Ahmed Tinubu to the court to Grant him access to inspect the electoral materials on Tuesday.

According to Tinubu’s lawyer, Mr. Akintola Makinde they’ll need to inspect the materials, scan, and photocopies of the electoral materials to serve as a defense to a petition that would label his win as null and void.

“The materials will be relevant in helping us to prepare our defense and also make comparison with the information contained in INEC’s back-end server,” Makinde said.

Tinubu’s Victory at the polls has not been fully accepted by some other parties as some of these parties have taken to court to contend the election results. Nigerians are waiting to see how everything will play out, and who truly would be sworn in as the next president of Nigeria on May 29th.

There have been several protests as to the election results as most Nigerians feel the process was not free as fair as it ought to be.
