Voters were unable to vote at Unit 39, Ward 7 in Ikpoba Okha due to a malfunctioning Bimodial Voters Accreditation (BVA) machine. At exactly 8:00 a.m., when voting commenced, people began noticing the issue, which persisted until 10:20 a.m., affecting 838 registered voters supposed to cast their ballots at the station located within Ologboshere Primary School.
An Ad hoc INEC official stated that they had informed the commission about the machine breakdown and were awaiting a replacement. Helen Osagie, among other voters, expressed concern that the delay could lead to disenfranchisement if not promptly addressed by INEC.
However, voting proceeded smoothly in other stations within the school. Consequently, INEC decided to extend the voting process where it had already commenced.
