Chelsea’s five-match winning streak in all competitions came to an end as Nottingham Forest secured a hard-fought 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge. Despite the Blues’ dominance in possession, Forest held firm, ending a four-match losing run in London.

The first half was short on clear chances, with Chelsea’s Noni Madueke coming closest, firing a curling effort just wide. As halftime approached, Chelsea nearly broke the deadlock when Cole Palmer’s deflected shot hit the post, while Wesley Fofana’s crucial block denied Ryan Yates at the other end.

Forest struck first early in the second half, with Chris Wood sliding home after a Nikola Milenković header from a James Ward-Prowse set-piece. Chelsea quickly responded, as Madueke found the bottom corner to level the match.

A dramatic finish saw Ward-Prowse sent off for a second yellow, but despite their numerical advantage, Chelsea couldn’t capitalize. Forest goalkeeper Mats Sels pulled off a string of key saves, and Robert Sánchez denied Jota Silva at the death to ensure the points were shared.

The result lifts Forest to ninth in the table, while Chelsea remain in the top four, both teams tasting just one Premier League defeat this season.
