Popular Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, aka Davido had on Tuesday night, August 29, broken records and made history as the first African artiste to perform at the Professional Footballers’ Association Awards in England, UK.

The ‘Unavailable’ hit crooner’s performance had come at an intermission before the biggest awards of the night were presented at the Lowry Theatre in Manchester.
The Afrobeats superstar had taken to his X page (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday, August 30 to express his glee about the historic performance.

He had written:
“Thank you @PFA for the opportunity given to me, to not only attend such a distinguished event but also perform. Music and sports has always been a great combination and we proved that yet again last night! Next stop Dubai @cocacolaarena.”

This isn’t Davido’s first rodeo in the international football scene as he had performed at the 2022 FIFA World Cup closing ceremony in Qatar, along with other notable acts including BTS’s V.
