The Federal Capital Territory Administration -FCTA, has arrested 4 alleged armed hunters who attacked its task force in Abuja.
The men who were armed with guns and arrows had attacked the taskforce team at Sabo Lugbe, located along the international Airport Road on Thursday, September 15, preventing them from enforcing the ban on commercial motorcycle (Okada) riders.
The suspects had also purportedly prevented the task force operators last week with guns and bow/arrows, thereby preventing the team from impounding motorcycles and arresting its riders for flouting route restrictions.
On Thursday, they attacked again with guns but were suppressed by a well-armed significant number of the Joint Task Force of both the Police, Army and other security agencies, who had been ready for them. The Joint Task Force had seized two locally made guns from the hunters and 72 motorcycles had been impounded.
