Arsene Wenger, the ex-Arsenal boss has stated that Arsenal can now be considered as this season’s premier league title contender.
Arsenal has been super fantastic this season, as they’ve won six out of seven matches, and they currently sit at the top of the EPL table closely followed by last season’s EPL Champions Manchester City, and Tottenham Hotspur.
According to Wenger, Arsenal has a good chance to compete for the title, as he cannot see any super dominating team, and he strongly believes that they can do it.
He further noted that the world cup games might affect the performances of players, considering that the world cup is starting in the middle of the EPL, but in all, there’s a big chance for Arsenal to win this season.
“I would say that they have a good chance this season [to compete for the title] because I don’t see any super-dominating team,” Wenger told Sky Sports.
“I believe that there’s a good opportunity this season to do it.
“Of course, it’s a little bit of a special season because you have a World Cup in the middle and you don’t know how much that will affect the performances of individuals and the teams. Overall, I believe there’s a good opportunity there this year.”
