Arsenal might think about selling their captain, Martin Odegaard, and winger Gabriel Martinelli this summer as they look to strengthen the squad for the next season.
The Gunners are trying to win their first Premier League title since that unforgettable 2003/04 “Invincibles” season, now under the management of Mikel Arteta. With eight games left, Arsenal still have a solid chance to finally win the title after 22 years.

Even with the club making progress, reports say Arsenal might still make big changes to the squad after the season. Odegaard’s season hasn’t been steady, with injuries messing up his flow during the 2025/26 campaign. The Norwegian midfielder has only scored one league goal and made five assists in 20 games, which is a big drop from the 15 goals he scored in the 2022/23 season.
At the same time, Martinelli has been mentioned as someone who might leave. The Brazilian winger has scored 44 goals and made 21 assists across all competitions in recent seasons, putting him just behind Bukayo Saka in attacking numbers for Arsenal. There have been talks internally because some parts of his overall play are raising concerns.
If some players leave, Arsenal could raise money to bring in new talent as they try to stay competitive at home and in Europe next season.
