Taiwo Awoniyi, the star player of the match against Nottingham Forest and West Ham said that Nottingham’s victory will give them enough confidence and momentum to face the remaining stages of the premier league games.

Nottingham Forest defeated West Ham by a 1-0 win and Awoniyi made history as he scored the goal that saved his team some minutes to the end of the first half, this made it Nottingham’s first goal at the city ground, after Chris Bart- William scored on that same ground in 1999, May 16.

According to Awoniyi, the fans propelled them to win, with their endless cheering. The victory over West Ham will give them enough confidence to proceed to the next game, as it will help them prepare adequately well for the match.

“To be honest I think they (the fans) won the game for us because they’re there from the beginning and that’s why it’s called The City Ground and we have to hold the ground always,” Awoniyi told the club’s official website.

“It will give us more confidence to look forward to the next game. It will also help the team get ready for the next game as well and we are very happy about it.”

They are to face Everton in their next Premier League game slated to hold at Goodison park on Saturday.
