The National President of the Southern Kaduna Peoples Union -SOKAPU, Dr. Awemi Maisamari, who confirmed the incident to journalists in Kaduna, on Monday, September 19, reported that the bandits had contacted the families of the victims and demanded N200m ransom.

The first incident that happened on September 12 had six people abducted in a night raid by the terrorists at Ungwan Fada. With no preventive measures to deter the bandits, the following day, September 13, the terrorists besieged the Cherubim and Seraphim Church, I the course of a night vigil program at the Bayan Kasuwa quarters of Kasuwan Magani Town, at around midnight and carted away over sixty people from the church and neighboring houses, but they were not able to abduct them all because some were very little children, too aged or had health issues.

“Right now, 45 people have so far been confirmed abducted. “They demanded a ransom of N200 million, but negotiation is still ongoing. We don’t know the identity or the fate of the 5 missing persons yet” Awemi had concluded.
