A recent report has revealed that American pop star Selena Gomez, is now a billionaire with an estimated worth of $1.3 billion by Bloomberg’s Billionaires index. More than 80 per cent is attributed to the equity ownership in the makeup firm she founded known as Rare Beauty.
Other than Rare Beauty, Selena has also benefited from acting contracts, endorsements, and mental health businesses. Gomez, who is famous for her role in Wizards of Waverly Place as Alex Russo, has 424 million followers on IG and is one of the most prominent personalities on the platform.
Music, however, makes up a small portion of her wealth, as Gomez hasn’t toured since 2016, and music sales account for less than 2% of her fortune. Rare Beauty is still her primary source of income as it brings approximately $1.1 billion.
