Nigerian crossdresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has finally spoken out, slamming the recent bribery allegations as nothing but a load of lies.
The leaked viral recording from social media influencer Martins Otse, also known as Verydarkman, popularly referred to as VDM, broke the scandal loose, as he purportedly admitted paying N15 million to the officers of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission as a bribe to look the other way over money laundering charges against him.
Not surprisingly, EFCC leapt in almost immediately. “Yes, Chairman Ola Olukoyede has ordered an investigation into the content of the viral audio,” said their spokesperson, Dele Oyewale.
But Bobrisky isn’t having that. Taking to Instagram on Wednesday morning, the infamous social media sensation fired back at his detractors, branding the viral audio a fabrication from start to finish. In the post, he denied ever bribing the EFCC and getting himself off a jail sentence.
“My attention has been drawn to a fake voice recording.I didn’t pay any EFCC money, which is a very big lie. I served my term in full,” Bobrisky wrote, urging his followers to discard the false narrative.
