Professor Mohammed Sani Haruna, the Executive Vice Chairman (EVC) of the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), has been instructed by President Muhammadu Buhari to resign from his position without delay.
Prof. Haruna has been ordered to transfer his post to the following most senior officer in the organization, according to a statement from the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
The statement claimed that because the EVC had served two terms of five years each in the organization, the President had reversed the extension of his or her term from April 2, 2023, to April 2, 2025.
According to a statement released on Tuesday by Willie Bassey, Director of the SGF’s Communication Office, the President is grateful for Professor Haruna’s contributions to the growth of the engineering infrastructure sub-sector of the economy and wishes him luck in his future endeavors.
