Not less than three individuals have lost their lives after a building collapsed at number 13 Wilson Mba Street, in Arowojobe Estate Maryland, Lagos State.
The tragic incident had occurred in the wee hours of Thursday, July 25.
Meanwhile at the time of filing this report, officials of the Lagos State Emergency Management Authority, LASEMA, are still at the scene of the incident carrying out rescue operations.
Lately, there has been a series of building collapse in Lagos and other states of the country.
What They’re Saying
The LASEMA Permanent Secretary, Femi Oke-Osanyitolu, who confirmed the building collapse incident, had said that two persons were rescued alive from the rubble.
“Three adult males were recovered dead, two male adults were rescued alive, and one adult male trapped under the rubble was rescued alive by the LASEMA and the Lagos State Fire service.”
“Altogether, the six men were site workers. They are receiving pre-hospital care on location while SEHMU has been contacted for the remains of the 3 fatalities,” Oke-Osanyitolu confirmed.
