Nollywood star Bukky Wright has shared her thoughts on the possibility of getting married again, stating she is open to the idea but only if it aligns with God’s will.
Speaking in a BBC interview, the 58-year-old Yoruba actress made it clear that while she still has interest in marriage, it is not a must.
“If God has a man who goes to the age of six, I won’t wait until he is five and a half,” she said. “If God says he will go to the top of the mountain, he will not stop until he reaches the top of the mountain. It’s something I like, but only if God forbids it. I don’t tell women to try it, because I like it.”
Beyond her remarks on remarriage, Bukky also addressed the growing trend of indecent dressing among actresses, pointing out that it is not limited to the entertainment industry.
According to her, many Nigerian women, not just those in film, now expose their bodies, especially their breasts.
She revealed that she sometimes questions men on whether they are the reason women dress that way, and many respond by saying they prefer women who are decently dressed.
The actress also touched on how technological changes have affected the theatre industry, especially the kinds of equipment now in use.
She urged her fans to stay tuned, revealing that she has a new project coming soon.
