Grammy-nominated Afrobeats star Davido has apologised to fans after missing a scheduled appearance in Lagos, attributing the situation to challenges with aviation fuel.
The singer was billed to perform alongside Zlatan Ibile at Secret Place in Ikate Elegushi during the club’s fifth anniversary event on Sunday, but failed to show up, leaving fans disappointed.
Taking to his Instagram story on Monday, Davido explained that his inability to attend was due to travel disruptions caused by fuel shortages.

“The world happened to me yesterday. These wars around the world have really started penetrating. Finding fuel was a problem yesterday to even fly. Everything had to be rescheduled,” he said.
He expressed regret over the incident and reassured fans that the missed performance would be made up.
“To my fans that pulled up… sorry I missed it. We’re going to run it back again soon,” he added.
The singer also extended his congratulations to the event organisers, promising continued support and a future appearance despite the setback.
