The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) has started looking into recent problems with bank services that affected customers, saying these issues broke customer rights rules.
In a message from the Executive Vice Chairman/Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Tunji Bello, the FCCPC showed concern about these problems, which stopped customers from using their money and doing important tasks.
The commission said that banks not keeping their services working well and reliably is against the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act (FCCPA) from 2018.
“The FCCPC is dedicated to keeping customers’ rights safe and making sure everyone is responsible,” Bello said. “We will work with other groups to fix these problems.”
The investigation will check if customers’ rights to fix problems are being respected and if more steps need to be taken.
