Enzo Fernadez, Argentina Midfielder has taken over Jorginho’s number, number 5 at his new club Chelsea, the Jersey was formerly worn by Jorginho who just moved to Arsenal.
Chelsea has had their eyes on Enzo Fernadez after his impressive performance for Argentina during the 2022 world cup, however the transfer fee posted by Benfica was deemed too high by Chelsea, but Benefica did not back down but continued to insist on the price, Chelsea however succumbed to pressure and agreed on the price close to the deadline of the transfer window.
Fernadez’s deal is the highest amount in the history of the EPL as Chelsea had to pay a whopping sum of €120m however Todd Bohely made sure he harnassed his money spent, as Enzo Fernadez signed an eight and half year deal with Chelsea.
