France and the United Arab Emirates sign an energy cooperation deal

According to the statement released by the French government on Monday, a strategic agreement to cooperate in the field of energy was struck between the governments of France and the United Arab Emirates. According to the statement released by the French government, the partnership’s primary objective was to locate opportunities for collaborative investment in hydrogen, renewable, and nuclear energy projects either in France, the UAE, or elsewhere.

“In the current uncertain energy context, this agreement will pave the way for a stable long-term framework for cooperation, opening the way for new industrial contracts,” He added.

The visit of United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al-Nahyan to Paris from 17th to 19th of July coincides with the announcement of the deal. This will be Sheikh Mohammed’s first overseas state visit since he succeeded his half-brother as president in May.
