The Tribeca Festival is here once again and this year’s edition stayed true to fashion and as is expected on every red carpet show, some celebrities gave looks while others lacked in the fashion department. If you’re wondering, “What the heck is a Tribeca Festival?”, don’t fret. There’s an explainer given just below.

The Tribeca Festival is a yearly film festival organized by Tribeca Productions and it is usually held in the Big Apple — New York City, and it was founded by Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal, and Craig Hatkoff in 2002, the Tribeca Festival was established to help revitalize Lower Manhattan after the September 11 attacks.

The festival exists as a way of showcasing and celebrating storytelling in various forms that can include films, music, art, games and immersive programming. To sum it all up, it is basically a festival for creative expression and entertainment.

This festival is a 12-day experience that boasts of over 600 events. It is even reputed to be something of a cash cow for the city of New York.

The Tribeca Festival attracts celebrities from far and near, to walk its red carpet and participate in the wide array of exciting events curated during this period.

The 2024 Tribeca Festival is scheduled to take place from June 5-16 and the feature films selected include, ‘Sacramento’, ‘Brats’, ‘Firebrand’, and ‘Daddio’, all of which starred notable celebrities including Kristen Stewart, Jude Law, Dakota Johnson, Michael Cera, Sean Penn, and Alicia Vikander amongst others.

The celebrities were not limited to just film stars as the crème de la crème of the music and fashion industry were also in attendance. See what some of them wore below:

This supermodel wore a classy white pantsuit at the Tribeca Film Festival’s red carpet. The stand out piece from her fit was her button-down top that ended at her mid-thigh. After pairing the custom top with similar coloured pants, she wore a black, open-toed kitten heel and completed the look with black leather shoulder bag and sunglasses to match.

Lucy Hale

The ‘Pretty Little Liars’ actress looked ravishing in the black Alexander McQueen metallic slim-fitted top and slim fit textured high-rise woven midi skirt she wore for the opening night screening of the ‘Diane Von Furstenberg’ movie. She accessorized with a clutch purse and silver-toned brass bracelet all from the designer.

Demi Moore

This actress wore Schiaparelli Spring 2024 white cotton denim two piece to the ‘Brats’ Tribeca Festival premiere that seemed to borrow from cowboy-core fashion.

Kerry Washington

Kerry Washington

I first saw this outfit on Nara Smith but Kerry didn’t style hers badly either. The actress opted to wear her Chanel Pre-Fall 2024 set with a pair of black heels and a vanity box bag from Chanel.

Christy Turlington Burns

Christy was yet another model that arrived for the Tribeca Festival women’s luncheon attired in a Chanel outfit.
She wore a white Chanel tweed coat over a white top and blue denim, finishing the look with two-toned heels and a silver beaded purse.

Camila Mendes

Camila Mendez

Camila Mendes stunned in a classic Chanel white cropped top featuring cutouts and black high-waisted trousers to the women’s lunch hosted by Through Her Lens, giving off effortless vibes. She made sure to keep the attention focused on what she wore by accessorizing minimally, choosing to only carry a small reflective handbag.

Kathryn Newton

Kathryn Newton

Kathryn’s stylish but playful attire at the Through Her Lens event really captured my fancy. She wore a white t-shirt adorned with tiny colorful prints and denim culottes, which in my opinion, were the star of the ensemble. She accessorized with a white quilted Chanel handbag and two-toned pumps.
