“I Will Love To See Messi Play alongside Haaland in Man City” – Sven Eriksson

Sven Goran Eriksson, Former Manchester City manager has said that he would love to see Lionel Messi pair up with Haaland at Manchester City.

Messi’s contract with PSG expires at the end of this season, Eriksson believes that Messi is still one of the best considering his performance in football despite his age.

He wished for Argentina to win the world cup because of Messi as he deserves the World cup trophy.

He believes that Messi won’t reject an offer from Pep Guardiola, as this will be an
opportunity for Messi to play in the Premier League, especially alongside Haaland.

“I wished Argentina to win the World Cup only because of Lionel Messi, he deserved it. I don’t know what will happen to Messi, but if he continues to play as he did in the World Cup, he’s still one of the best,” Eriksson told OLBG.

“Pep Guardiola knows Lionel Messi very well, so I can’t imagine he would say no to that transfer. It would be great for him to play in the Premier League, especially with Erling Haaland in front of him, but I can’t see it happening

PSG are already holding talks with the player for the extension of his contract which is to end this season, as of course, they would not want to lose the player to another club, considering his current feat as a World Cup winner.

Messi proved himself as a very versatile player, seeing how he ensured that Argentina won the world cup. Currently, he has 12 goals for PSG after 19 games, initially there were Speculations about Messi returning to Barcelona as the President of Barcelona, Joan Laporta once said that he would love for Messi to end his career at Barcelona, with the way things are going Messi might decide not to return to the club.

Playing for Manchester City would be an opportunity to play in the premier league and create a mark there also, the seven times Balon D’or winner doesn’t have much time left in his career again as he is already drawing close to his retirement from football.
