Indian police officials have apprehended two Nigerians identified simply as, Alex aged 30, and Ibeh aged 45, for reportedly cheating several Indian women on their matrimonial applications.
This information was revealed by the police on Sunday, March 11, saying that the accused individuals had posed as marine engineers and wealthy IT professionals to entice women on the app and extort money from them on the pretext of clearing their customs fees for gifts.
Meanwhile, a senior police officer had revealed that the arrested men had been working with other gang members who were Nigerians to swindle multiple women.
Investigations are still being made on the men and their gadgets are being analyzed to trace more victims.
