Prof Mahmood Yakubu, the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has promised Nigerians ahead of the upcoming 2023 general elections reiterating the commission’s commitment to a free, fair, and credible poll.

In an article Yakubu had titled, ‘100 Days to 2023 Elections’, he pledged complete loyalty of the commission to Nigerians who want free, fair, credible, and verifiable elections supported by the latest technology, which ensures transparent accreditation and upload of polling unit results for citizens to be displayed in real-time on Election Day.

Additionally, the electoral commission chairman had, however, appealed to Nigerians to fully subscribe themselves to the opportunity of fully participating in all the electoral activities, most especially the ongoing display of the Register of Voters for claims and objections, as well as the collection of Permanent Voters’ Cards, PVCs.
