The Indigenous People of Biafra have stated that no amount of blackmail and propaganda by the Nigerian Federal Government would change its resolve to actualize its dream of becoming a Biafran Nation.
This statement was made by Emma Powerful, the spokesperson for the separatist organization, on Sunday, May 14. According to him, IPOB would not back out of its commitment to achieving a separate Biafra Nation.
IPOB had reiterated this statement as part of its reaction to recent reports by the Anambra State Police Command that its operatives had killed five members of the Eastern Security Network, ESN, the militant wing of the IPOB.
Powerful had, however, tagged the police’s claim that its operatives killed IPOB and ESN operatives as garbage and plain falsehood, saying that the police could not confront its militant wing without feeling their heat, as the ESN were not people who could be easily killed.
