Is Ukraine Now Taking The Fight To Russia In Moscow?
Share on FacebookShare on TwitterShare on Whatsapp

A lot of pundits have been calling on Ukraine to take the war to Russia’s backyard for a while and it seems the Ukrainians have begun doing just that. There have been a series of drone attacks in Moscow in recent days and there have been a series of bombardments going the other way. A typical Russian response to all of the Ukrainian actions.

Also it has been reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin was calm after the barrage of drone strike hit Moscow on Tuesday. He told Russian state media that the city’s air defenses did their job.

My take is, Putin is only trying to downplay the new developments in the war knowing it might lead to tension inside of Russia and we all know what that will mean going forward.

According to The Institute for the Study of War, Putin’s response is “likely an attempt to signal that Russia is already actively retaliating and does not need to respond to further Ukrainian provocations,” ISW said.

Ukraine on the other hand denied sending drones to Moscow – but an official stated that residents of Moscow should as well experience the same level of fear that Ukrainians have been going from the unset of this war.
