First of, we are all convinced that Pochettino needs to get a lot of the present Chelsea squad off. So it shouldn’t come as any surprise that he has begun his slicing of the team even before officially assuming the job or get to see the players.
One question on the lips of a few pundits is – who should be the first to be axed by the new gaffer?
I guess that question has now been answered.
The incoming Chelsea boss has fingered Joao Felix as the first on his chopping board.
I don’t think that Joao Felix is a very good player – but this is my own opinion. I don’t see how he fits well with Pochettino’s style of play. He is not really his kind of player and it is a no-brainer when news came out from Atletico that he will be returning after his season loan.
Felix has had a turbulent time of some sort this season wearing the Chelsea shirt. And for a gargantuan sum of 10 million, i can see why the incoming coach prefers to do away with him even though he was able to bag four goals for the blues this season which funny enough makes him Chelsea’s 3rd highest scorer this season.
