A Nigerian Air Force jet craft has just crashed in Niger State.
The doomed aircraft had been flying from Kaduna State to Niger State.
The NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, had through a statement, confirmed the unfortunate incident on Monday, August 14.
According to reports, the aircraft, a Nigerian Air Force MI-171 Helicopter, had during a casualty evacuation mission, crashed on August 14, 2023, at around 1:00 pm, in Chukuba Village, Niger State.
The aircraft had taken off at Zungeru Primary School, en route to Kaduna but investigations had revealed that the jet crashed near Chukuba Village in Shiroro Local Government Area, Niger State.
Gabkwet had additionally stated that efforts were presently ongoing to save those on board.
As at the time of filing this report at about 7:00pm, no fresh reports have been made as to the situation of those on board the air craft as at the time of the crash.
