Kanye West, an American rapper and producer, has made negative comments about the children of his colleague Jay-Z and Beyoncé.
On Wednesday, the 47-year-old rapper questioned the mental competence of his colleagues’ twins, Rumi and Sir, in a now-deleted X post.
Hours later, the 24-time Grammy winner made the unexpected decision to repost the contentious tweet.
“Wait has anyone ever seen Jay Z and Beyoncé’s younger kids?” the post reads in part.
“… If Twitter takes my sh*t down then so be it. But I need you all to know Jay Z or nobody have no power over me.”
West explained that rather than wanting to be “a good person,” he removed the post because he was afraid of getting banned from the platform.
“Somebody from my music team called me and begged me to take it down and spoke on Twitter banning. I’m so mad I took that down,” he added.
“Concerning the Jay Z and Beyonce tweet, n**gas said I would regret it. No, I regret taking it down.”
Jay-Z and Beyoncé share three children—13-year-old Blue Ivy and seven-year-old twins, Rumi and Sir.
At the time of this report, neither Jay-Z nor Beyoncé had made any public comments regarding West’s statement.
The latest in a long-running conflict between the two artists is West’s recent attack on Jay Z’s children.
