Kogi Family Kidnapped, Ransom Demanded

The popular unknown gunmen have struck again, as they abducted a family of three in Kogi state on Monday in Greenland Community, in Ganaja, Ajaokuta L.G.A of the state.

They were said to use arrived by 9 pm on Sienna bus, they began to shoot sporadically into the air in order to scare people away, report has it that they came with the intention of Kidnapping a retired security officer.

The news was confirmed by Paul Atabor, Chairman of Greenland Community in Ajaokuta L.G.A, where he briefed newsmen about the incident, he also revealed that the kidnappers has sent a note notifying them of their return to kidnap more individuals. One of the family members of the kidnapped persons also confirmed that they have been contacted to bring a ransom for the release of their family members.

The Police Spokesperson however revealed that they are not aware of such an incident, he promised to brief the newsmen, after he confirms the incident with the D.P.O at the C Division where Paul Atabor launched a complaint of the incident.

Over and over again, many Nigerians have been victims of the failures of the government, the problem of insecurity in Nigeria, is alarming, even to our homes and private properties, security is not guaranteed. The new administration should work more on security in Nigeria.
