Yahaya Bello, the Governor of Kogi State has installed Prof. Abdulrahman Asipita Salawu to be the new Vice-Chancellor of the Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara.
Prof. Salawu is replacing Prof. Sadiku, his predecessor who already left the services of the university.
The newly appointed Vice-Chancellor is a Professor of Materials and Metallurgical Engineering.
He had also been a diligent member of the Technical and Implementation Committees that established CUSTECH in 2020.
The Kogi State Commissioner for Education, Science, and Technology, Wemi Jones, had congratulated the new Vice Chancellor at his instalment ceremony in Lokoja.
Jones had additionally, expressed optimism that, with Prof. Salawu’s track record of achievements, he would exceed expectations by moving the varsity to greater heights previously never imagined.
