Frank Lampard, Everton’s manager has revealed that they’ve begun talks with Alex Iwobi, over renewing his contract with the club, as Iwobi’s contract with Everton is to expire next summer.
Considering Iwobi’s New Form at Everton, after he struggled to gain recognition at the club, Everton would not want to let him go, considering his brilliant performances under Lampard.
Iwobi has featured for Everton in each of their games this season after he struggled to play regularly in the club under several Managers. He has scored one goal and has registered four assists this season.
Asked during Thursday’s press conference to confirm whether contract talks are ongoing, Lampard told reporters: “Yeah, I know that Kevin (Thelwell) is speaking with Alex’s people on that front so we’ll see how that one develops”.
