Imo State House of Assembly Lawmaker, Arthur Egwim, has been confirmed dead.
According to reports, Egwim died on Monday, several days after he underwent surgery in Lagos.
Before his demise, he had been the member representing Ideato North Constituency at the state House of Assembly.
Egwim had first been elected into the state House of Assembly in 2015 under the All Progressives Congress platform and was later re-elected in 2019 under the Action Alliance party.
Meanwhile, the state House of Assembly Speaker, Emeka Nduka, has said that the late Lawmaker’s death came as a shock.
In a statement Nduka released on Tuesday, March 28, the speaker described Egwim as one of the finest brains among the 27 lawmakers in the state.
