Afrobeats singer Babatunde Rahim, also known as Lyta, has warned that he will stop releasing new music if his fans fail to stream the tracks he has already put out.
The former YBNL signee expressed his frustration, stating that he is facing financial difficulties due to a lack of support from music fans.
During a recent live session shared on X on Tuesday, Lyta expressed, “I can do more good music. But if you don’t stream my music, I won’t drop another one. I’m in need of money.
“Look at how I’m looking [slim]. I want to gain weight. Let me enjoy your money a little. If you stream my music, I will add weight.”
Lyta gained prominence in 2018 after signing with YBNL Nation. However, he departed from the record label in May 2019 following a disagreement with the label’s owner, Olamide.
In earlier interviews, Lyta publicly asked Olamide to take him back into YBNL, but the rapper declined his request to be re-signed to the label.
