Harry Maguire, the Old Trafford captain, and father of two have revealed that pre-season training under Erik Ten Hag was tough and demanding. Regardless of the game, they played on Friday, he made them train for two and a half hours. It is very noticeable that Erik Ten Hag is a very disciplined and resilient one who is not at all willing to suffer failures next season.

Considering Manchester United’s performance last season, many fans believed it was jinxed since even signing Ronaldo didn’t help, The inability of the club to qualify for the UEFA Champions league upsets  Ronaldo and he intends on leaving the club. But fans are sure there will be changes at the club under the new coach.

It was hard. The race was tough but we’re looking forward to the season,” said Maguire.

“Erik and his coaching team bring their ideas and in the first two games, you saw little glimpses of the principles.

“We’re working towards being ready for that first Premier League game, that’s what matters. All we’re doing now is building on that first game.”

Many people believed that Maguire didn’t have what it takes to be the team’s captain, with many fans clamoring for him to be removed, but Erik Ten Hag still kept him as captain.
