With all the issues with cash going around in the country, Banks are always packed with customers demanding money and this has hindered the normal operations of banks as persons who came to the bank for different reasons might join in this long queue.
An unknown man reportedly slumped and died in the bank after standing in the queue for long hours. This incident occurred in Ika South Local Government Area Delta State.
Reports have it that the man only came to collect his Automated Teller Machine card at the bank and has to queue long hours just to get it.
The Delta State Police Spokesperson, Bright Edafe has confirmed the incident
“He was not trying to withdraw cash; he came to collect his ATM card,” the police spokesperson said.
Cash has been scarce for the past few days, coupled with the crash of bank apps, Nigerians have been going through difficulty in trying to obtain cash or carry out transactions, the banks are filled up with people, and this new currency has made Naira scarce.
