The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, has revealed that its operatives have frustrated fresh attempts made by members of certain transnational drug trafficking organisations, to convey different quantities of methamphetamine and ‘skunk’ through the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, MMIA, Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria.
The anti-narcotic agency had revealed that 7.50 kg of skunk was found hidden inside a bag of crayfish mixed with dry bitter leaf upon a rigorous search of the suspect’s baggage.
This was made known to the public through a statement that was issued on Sunday, September 17, by the NDLEA Director of Media & Advocacy, Femi Babafemi.
In a similar way, NDLEA officers of the Directorate of Operations and General Investigations deployed to certain courier companies also waylaid Dubai-bound skunk drug weighing 2.9 kg and 14 grams of methamphetamine cleverly hidden in bags of semovita and under the soles of ladies’ high heeled shoes.
