A house in the Okpe village of the Akoko-Edo Local Government Area (LGA) in Edo was found to contain at least 63 bags of cannabis sativa, totaling 600 kilograms, according to a statement from the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) released on Sunday in Abuja.
According to Mr. Babafemi, the drugs were found on Friday, March 31, when operatives conducted a raid.
Additionally, Mr. Babafemi reported that on the same day, a raid on a warehouse belonging to one Shehi Mallam at the Tomato market in Dei Dei, Abuja, resulted in the seizure of 80 sacks of cannabis sativa weighing 842.4 kilograms.
Mr. Babafemi also reported that a suspect named Abraham Alaigwu was detained with 91.7 kilograms of cannabis in the Slaughter, Trans/Amadi neighborhood.
